Dual Side Hot Melt Foam Glue Adhesive Coating & Press Services

(330) 630-4027

Dual side hot melt glue roll coating is imperative to connect multiple layers of foam board related materials. Insulation Supply professionally processes multilayered rigid foam solutions with industrial strength adhesive coaters and platen presses made by the Black Brothers Company.

Furnishing any foam board format, the roll coater manually adjusts to a 10-inch height, or at minimum, half-an-inch. Applications are adaptable, but average around 9 grams of adhesive per square foot. Development testing is performed on every new project by implementing scaled trials to yield successful results for a full production run.

When processing through the hot melt glue spreader, boards are individually coated and uniformly stacked together. The outer pieces can receive a single side application to face inward, while inner pieces are dual coated to maintain an entirely secure bond.

Insulation Supply uses moisture activated polyurethane based adhesives. An enclosed station at the exit point of the glue roll maintains constant humidity levels to facilitate proper application between each piece of material. As board gluing cures, a full bundle is guided along a rolling table and into a large pneumatic platen press for completion.

Various material combinations need specific amounts of pressure and time under the press to achieve optimal results. In a matter of minutes, a fixed pressure capable of exceeding 140 PSI is applied.

The finished product is safely rolled out for quality inspection and transferred onto a pallet. Once full, the skid is loaded onto a wrap machine – securing the pallet for transport with white wrapping material.

Utilized in buildings, thermal fittings, concrete and more – Insulation Supply processes a variety of products implementing premium hot melt adhesion. When pressed for new paneling solutions, we make them stick!

Insulation Supply’s dual side hot melt foam glue adhesive coating & press services apply precise, uniform adhesive layers to both sides of foam substrates, followed by pressing to ensure strong bonding for insulation applications. This caters to industries like construction and automotive, delivering durable, high-performance foam solutions for enhanced thermal and acoustic efficiency.
